* At 1141 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding due to heavy rain across the warned area. Numerous roads remain flooded, with fast moving water still being reported in Ritchie County, and new flooding still being reported in Roane County. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Many steams continue to rise, and Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
